for OYMH CEMETERY ASSOCIATION

1. The Cemetery reserves the right to remove any and all shrubbery. No new shrubbery may be planted without the permission of the Cemetery Association.

2. The Cemetery shall remove all floral designs, flowers or decorations as soon as they become wilted or unsightly. Artificial flowers are prohibited.


3. The Cemetery reserves the right to remove any flag that becomes tattered. 4. The Cemetery reserves the right to remove any decorations that inhibit the maintenance of the plot, including, but not limited to: vases, statues, benches and lights of any kind.


5. All funerals, upon entering the Cemetery, shall be under the charge of a licensed funeral director.


6. Fees for interments shall be determined by the Cemetery Association and shall be paid, or satisfactory arrangements for their payment shall be made with the President of the Board of Trustees or other designated Trustee.


7. Before a burial can take place, said grave must be paid for in full. 8. The Cemetery Association shall be notified of all assignments of burial plots prior to burial.


9. It shall be the duty of the lot owner to notify the Cemetery Association of any change in their address.


10. Each single grave is 9’ long by 4’ wide.


11. Every interment shall be enclosed in a vault.


12. In any one interment space, the interment of the remains of one body and up to two cremains shall be allowed. In the case of a child of the age of one year or less, the remains of such child may be interred with the remains of an adult or of another child.


13. No new fencing may be installed in the cemetery.


14. Any new corner posts must be approved by the Cemetery Association. They shall be placed flush with ground, as mowing equipment may damage any such posts protruding above the ground surface. The Cemetery reserves the right to lower any said posts to ground level.


15. The Cemetery Association reserves the right to reject any monuments that do not conform to the historical nature of the cemetery.


16. All above ground memorials must be placed at the head of the grave(s). Flat granite or bronze markers may be placed at either the head or foot of a grave.


17. No more than two markers may be placed on any one grave.


18. All monuments and granite or bronze markers must have an adequate concrete foundation in order to avoid sinking. The Cemetery or the funeral director will arrange for foundation installation.


19. Monuments shall be restricted to the following sizes:

a. Single monument/marker - maximum length - 2 feet

b. Double monument/marker - maximum length - 6 feet

c. Single bronze marker - maximum size - 24 inches by 14 inches d. Double bronze marker - maximum size - 44 inches by 14 inches


20. Excessively loud noises on the premises are prohibited, unless part of a Cemetery Association approved event. Reverence and decorum shall be observed at all times by all persons on the premises.


21. No dogs shall be allowed on the premises.


22. In accordance with New Jersey’s amended Smoke Free Air Act, the OYMH Cemetery is tobacco-free. This applies to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes and vaporize cigarettes, as well as smokeless tobacco, such as snuff and chew. 23. The Cemetery Association reserves the right, at any time, to adopt new rules and regulations, or to amend, alter or repeal these rules and regulations, or any part thereof.
